Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or participating in any East Coast Rowing Council (ECRC) event or activity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable ECRC policies. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or participate in ECRC activities.
Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational purposes relating to ECRC events, member clubs, and coastal rowing in Ireland. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site.
Participant Wellbeing Policy
All members, athletes, coaches, and officials are expected to demonstrate respect and understanding for the rights, safety, and welfare of fellow members. The ECRC follows the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children's Sport as published by Sport Ireland. Bullying, intimidation, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated at any ECRC event or activity.
Anti-Doping Policy
The ECRC prohibits the use of performance-enhancing drugs and supplements that are proscribed and recognised as such by the relevant national statutory sports councils. All athletes participating in ECRC events are subject to this policy. Breaches will be handled in accordance with the ICRF Anti-Doping framework.
Non-Discrimination Policy
The ECRC is committed to equality and refuses to discriminate on any of the following grounds:
- Gender or gender identity
- Family status or civil status
- Age
- Disability
- Race or ethnicity
- Sexual orientation
- Religion or belief
- Membership of the Traveller community
Equal opportunities apply to participation, membership, appointments, and volunteering roles within the ECRC and its affiliated clubs.
Social Media Policy
All members and affiliated clubs are expected to act with courtesy, transparency, accuracy, and respect when using social media in connection with the ECRC or its clubs. The online safety of young people must be protected at all times. Breaches of this policy may result in sanctions imposed through the relevant club or directly by the ECRC.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of the East Coast Rowing Council or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written permission from the ECRC.
Limitation of Liability
The ECRC endeavours to keep information on this website accurate and up to date, but makes no warranty as to its completeness or accuracy. Participation in rowing activities carries inherent risk. The ECRC, its officers, and affiliated clubs accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in events or use of this website, except as required by Irish law.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
